Per Section 18004(a)(1) of the Cares Act Grant Program, San Francisco Film School hereby publishes for the pubic the following Information.

  1. [ X ] An acknowledgement that the institution signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

    “In accordance with the Cares act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students, San Francisco Film School has signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certfication and Agreement and assures them that the insitution will use no less than $17,475. to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to eligible students.”

  2. [ X ] The total amount of funds that the institution will receive or has received from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

    “San Francisco Film School has recieved $34,950.00 from the Department of Education pursuant to the institution’s Certification and agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.”

  3. [ X ] The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of the date of submission (i.e., as of the 30-day Report and every 45 days thereafter).

    “San Francisco Film school has distributed $17,475 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.”

  4. [ X ] The estimated total number of students at the institution who are or could be eligible to participate in the Federal student financial aid programs under  Section 484  of the Higher Education Act   of 1965, as amended,  and thus are eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

    “There were 18 students at San Francisco Film School who were eligible or could be eligible to Participate in Federal Student Financial Aid Programs  and those students are eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants under section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.”

  5. [ X ] The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act. (For example, if you have not issued grants to students yet or have issued fewer than 10 grants, you should indicate that <10 students have received a grant)

    “San Francisco Filmschool has issued Emergency Financial Aid Grants to 18 students.”

  6. [ X ] The method(s) used by the institution to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

    “San Francisco Film School looked at the list of students who were receiving Federal Financial Aid and divided the $17,475 by that number to determine how much each student would receive. It was determined that this was the best way so that each person would receive the same amount. Each student received $970.83

  7. [ X ] Any instructions, directions, or guidance provided by the institution to students concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants.

    “San Francisco Film School sent each student a letter regarding the Emergency Financial Aid Grants telling them that the funds were to be used for expenses related to Distance Learning that was caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. These funds were to be used for such items as, books, rent, technology needed for distance learning, etc.
