PROTECTING PERSONAL STUDENT INFORMATION (PRIVACY POLICY)

At San Francisco Film School, we are careful to protect the personal information of our students. We don’t share your private information, and we maintain an information security policy (privacy policy) in compliance with the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

JEANNE CLERY CAMPUS SECURITY REPORT AND POLICY

The San Francisco Film School security policies are designed to protect the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors, including providing timely notifications in safety emergencies. The Jeanne Clery Campus and Crime Report page also details the history of crimes and other offenses at our school over the past three calendar years.

Admissions Policy

All prospective students that apply for admission to San Francisco Film School must provide proof that they are eligible to attend a higher education institution as stated by the Department of Education guidelines. All prospective students are required to have either graduated from high school or successfully completed the GED (General Education Development) test to be considered for acceptance into the school. DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY

San Francisco Film School is a drug-free environment. Illegal drug use in SFFS facilities is prohibited and may be grounds for immediate termination. Alcohol consumption is prohibited in SFFS facilities, and students under the influence will be asked to leave, and probation or termination may follow. SFFS has a strong Policy on Drugs and Alcohol to protect the safety of our students, faculty, and staff.

FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION

  • FINANCIAL AID COUNSELING
    San Francisco Film School has a trained financial advisor on staff ready to work with you, one-on- one, to help assess your tuition options. SFFS is nationally accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and is registered with the Veterans Administration. Talk with our financial advisor if you think you qualify for any state, federal or veteran funding. Call 415.824.7000 to speak to a school representative directly.     San Francisco Film School wants students to understand the requirements to receive financial aid, and their rights throughout the process.

COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT POLICY

San Francisco Film School has a policy against copyright infringement, including the illegal downloading and/or sharing of electronic media files.

SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS POLICY

It is important for students to understand the school’s academic policies. The satisfactory academic progress (SAP) policy applies to all students enrolled in the San Francisco Film School.

WITHDRAWAL, REFUND, AND RETURN TO TITLE IV POLICIES

These policies regarding withdrawal, refund, and return to Title IV are applicable for students who withdraw or otherwise fail to complete their program of study at San Francisco Film School.

RETURNING STUDENT POLICY

Students who were previously enrolled in the San Francisco Film School are allowed to apply for re – admission to the school and are evaluated on a case by case basis.

VOTER REGISTRATION AND CONSTITUTION DAY

San Francisco Film School encourages students to be active participants in the American political system as part of being responsible members of their community. Each year, the school celebrates “Constitution Day” on or near September 17. SFFS encourages students to register to vote.

VACCINATION POLICY

San Francisco Film School is not required to collect documentation from students as proof for vaccination against measles, mumps, rubella or meningococcal disease. SFFS encourages all students to be immunized against these communicable diseases. Visit the California State Department of Public Health page for more information regarding recommended vaccinations.

STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

The school complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and is wheelchair accessible. If enrolled under training with a government agency, institution district, and/or other entity, students must meet the admission requirements set out in the training agreement and/or applicable state licensing or certifications requirements. The facility is equipped with ramp access from the parking lot, extra wide hallways and doors, and a restroom to accommodate disabled students. Please bring copies of current documentation of a disability. Documentation must be provided by a medical expert within the last three years. In order to be eligible for title IV, HEA funding, you must be able to benefit with reasonable accommodations.
